Monrovia CEO Miles Rosedale to Step Down After 40 Years

Monrovia Nursery Co. recently announced that Miles Rosedale will step down from his role as CEO but remain co-chairman of the Board of Directors, effective Dec. 31.

Monrovia’s Board has initiated a search for a new CEO with the expertise to build on Monrovia’s nearly 100-year track record of success. The company will remain family owned.

“While 2020 has been an extremely challenging year, it has also been one of Monrovia’s most rewarding,” said Rosedale. “Now is the right time for this transition to take place. Consumers have rediscovered the beauty of their landscapes and our future looks bright. I have been discussing this transition with our shareholders and board of directors for some time. We are fortunate to have shareholders and a board of directors who continue to support the mission and values of our family-owned company.”

“The Board thanks Miles for his 40 years of service,” said Board Co-Chairman Chris Kroes. “We are grateful for his leadership and commitment to our employees, customers, and consumers. I look forward to working with him in my role as co-chairman.”

The Board is conducting a search for a new CEO to take the role in 2021, to allow for a thoughtful transition.
