Cindy Morris named finalist for leadership award
Dallas Market Center president and CEO Cindy Morris has been named a finalist in the Strategic Leadership category of D CEO magazine’s inaugural Leadership Excellence Awards, recognizing north Texas executives for leadership, business performance and long-term impact.
The inaugural awards program received more than 400 nominations from public and private companies, nonprofits and organizations across north Texas. After multiple rounds of judging, D CEO editors selected finalists in a dozen leadership categories.
Morris is one of seven finalists for the Strategic Leadership Award. Her nomination cited Dallas Market Center’s strategic reinvestment in its marketplace, recent market share gains and leadership of the Stand With Main Street campaign, which was launched in response to tariffs affecting retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives.
Under Morris’ leadership, Dallas Market Center organized a grassroots petition, participated in lobbying efforts, expanded relationships with advocacy organizations including the National Retail Federation (NRF), filed an amicus brief in related federal litigation and provided customers with updates on tariff policy developments.
“Leading through disruption means showing up for the people who make this industry work — the retailers, reps, and manufacturers who depend on Market,” Morris said.
Finalists will be featured in the September issue of D CEO, with winners scheduled to be announced during an awards event later that month.
