Terra Nova introduces heuchera series at Cultivate’26
Terra Nova Nurseries introduced its heuchera Fyre Wing series at Cultivate’26, describing it as the first lace-leaf heuchera collection and a new plant morphology for the genus.
The collection is the result of a breeding breakthrough followed by years of selection and stabilization, according to the company. The series features deeply cut, lace-like foliage that differs from previously available heuchera varieties.
The inaugural collection, called The Seven of the Lace Crown, includes seven varieties: ‘Fyre Wing Amber,’ ‘Fyre Wing Heliodor’, ‘Fyre Wing Hematite’ (top phtoto), ‘Fyre Wing Jadeite’, ‘Fyre Wing Jet’, ‘Fyre Wing Rhodonite’ and ‘Fyre Wing Spinel.’ The varieties draw inspiration from dragon mythology and gemstones, with foliage colors reflecting their namesake gems.
Terra Nova said the non-GMO collection is protected by utility-patented genetics.
