Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouses, a well-known, well-established greenhouse operation in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is now up for sale.
The State of Pennsylvania released notice of a potential loss of 120 jobs taking place this December, after Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouses filed a WARN notice.
Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouse filed the notice in compliance with the Pennsylvania state law, but anticipates the jobs will remain intact after the business is sold, according to several news reports.
Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouses is for sale for $3.1 million, according to the real estate company Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices Fox & Roach Realtors. Currently, there is no date announced for the sale of the properties, which includes greenhouses, retail space and more.
Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouses is a greenhouse operation in Allentown, Pennsylvania that started in 1957 by Dan and Mildred Schantz. The Schantz family founded the business as a farm, which grew fruits and vegetables and offered sales of its produce at farmers’ markets. Over the years, the business grew and diversified into a greenhouse grower of ornamental bedding plants.
