The Steering Committee for the California Spring Trials has announced the dates for 2013 and 2014 California Spring Trials.

2013 Spring Trials will take place April 6 to April 11, 2013. In 2014, California Spring Trials is scheduled to meet April 5 to April 10.

All operations are expected to be open during this time period, though some may choose to extend their participation for additional days to better serve their customers.

The participating companies of the Spring Trials also have appointed OFA – The Association of Horticulture Professionals to coordinate the Spring Trials event.

The California Spring Trials event includes many of the leading plant breeders, growers, and suppliers showcasing their plant varieties and new products. The self-guided tour takes place throughout the state and is for industry professionals and press only.

“Every year, people say there are two must-attend events: the California Spring Trials and OFA Short Course,” says OFA’s chief executive officer, Michael V. Geary. “They’re an opportunity for growers to learn of new cultivars and how to grow them, and for garden center operators and landscape professionals to explore the diversity of plants they can make available to their customers. Combined, these two events provide a comprehensive overview of the products, services, and training needed to be a successful owner/operator.”

OFA also will host a website (www.ofa.org/springtrials) for attendees that will include a list of participating companies, opening dates and hours, company contact(s), and other event information.
