Four Star Roses varieties recognized for sustainability
Star Roses and Plants announced that four of its rose varieties received awards from the 2027 American Rose Trials for Sustainability (A.R.T.S.) program, which evaluates roses for disease resistance, landscape performance and sustainability under low-input growing conditions.
The winning varieties include ‘Drift Buttercream’, ‘Veranda Fiesta’, ‘Raspberry Cupcake’ and ‘Top Cream’.

‘Drift Buttercream’ was recognized for its creamy yellow blooms, compact growth habit and disease resistance. ‘Veranda Fiesta’ was noted for its bright flower color, glossy foliage and strong flowering performance in containers and landscape settings.

‘Raspberry Cupcake’ was recognized for resistance to mildew, rust and black spot, along with repeat blooming and fragrance.

‘Top Cream’, a hybrid tea rose, was selected for its fragrant blooms and large, old-fashioned flower form.

The A.R.T.S. program evaluates roses without repeated fertilizer applications or chemical sprays. Varieties are assessed for disease and pest resistance, flowering, foliage quality, plant form, growth habit and overall health based on regional trial data.
According to the program, award-winning roses must demonstrate strong garden performance and resilience under sustainable growing conditions.
