Green Career Week begins Oct. 2

Seed Your Future (SYF) recently announced its Green Career Week will take place Monday, Oct. 2, through Friday, Oct. 6.

Green Career Week is designed to inspire future horticulture professionals by connecting students with businesses. Last year, over 120 horticultural professionals connected with students nationwide.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to how to participate:

1. Reach out to a local school, educator, or student group. We’ve created some email templates to make things easy!
2. Use SYF’s Green Career Week resources to plan your visit. From activity ideas to things to consider, we’ve got you covered.
3. During the week of October 2-6, visit the school or set up a field trip with the educator you’ve been coordinating with.
4. Take pictures during your visit! Use #greencareerweek and our social media toolkit to promote your business.
5. Highlight your staff and interns on various social media platforms!

Can’t participate throughout October 2-6? Don’t let that stop you! Green Career Week can take place whenever works best for you–what matters is that you do it!
