NGB Introduces Snapdragon Video Contest

To support its “Year of” program, the National Garden Bureau has announced its first-ever “Year of” video contest, featuring #SNAPDRAGONLOVE for 2019!

Every year National Garden Bureau selects an annual, a perennial, a bulb and an edible to highlight in its “Year of” program. For this year, snapdragon was selected in the annual category.

If you grow and sell snapdragons, this video contest is a great way to promote your products in this category.

The contest is designed to inspire creative videos from anyone (growers, retailers, consumers … anyone!) who loves snapdragons, both cut flowers and bedding/potted/landscape varieties.

The grand prize for the contest is $500 along with two runner-up prizes of $100 each.

Submissions should be 30-60 second videos that may be skits, animation, testimonials or other types of videos, as long as they feature and promote snapdragons. There are five ways to enter, four of which involve posting the video to the individual or company’s social media account.

You can submit your entries any time between now and May 15, 2019. The official winners will be announced in June.

Visit https://ngb.org/snapdragon-video-contest/ for all of the details and how you can enter.

At the end of the contest, the winners and all of the video finalists will be available for viewing at ngb.org/year-of-the-snapdragon/ and on the NGB YouTube channel.

The videos also will be used as a part of the #YearOfTheSnapdragon campaign. Anyone breeding, selling, using or interested in snapdragons can share and use these videos.
