Global color authority Pantone has announced 13-1023 Peach Fuzz as its 2024 Color of the Year.
Pantone describes it as “a velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body and soul. A compassionate and nurturing peach shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others and the feelings this creates. … Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz presents a fresh approach to a new softness. Subtly sensual, a heartfelt peach hue with a tender touch, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz communicates a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.”
Pantone’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, said in a news release: “Peach Fuzz brings belonging, inspires recalibration, and an opportunity for nurturing. Drawing comfort from Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, we can find peace from within, impacting our wellbeing.”
While 2024 presents turmoil and global unrest, Peach Fuzz calls for increased empathy and compassion with its tactile, soft nature. The hue is situated between pink and orange.
The Pantone Color Institute created the Pantone Color of the Year educational program in 1999 to engage the design community and color enthusiasts around the world in a conversation around color.
