
Emerald Coast Growers adds 32 perennial varieties
Emerald Coast Growers has added 32 perennial varieties to its lineup for the 2025-2026 growing season.
“We constantly listen to our customers’ needs and try to meet them as quickly as we can,” said Cheri Markowitz, vice president of sales at Emerald Coast. “We see an increased demand for unique perennials, which drove our selection process this year. We strive to be a one-stop-shop for our customers’ ornamental grass and perennial needs.”
Some of the highlights among the intros include:
Monarda ‘Sugar Buzz Pink Frosting’, which joins the existing Sugar Buzz varieties Cherry Pops and Grape Gumball. This pollinator-friendly plant features frosted white tips on intense medium-pink flowers. It’s mildew resistant, grows to a mature height of 16 inches and is hardy to Zones 4 to 9.
Agastache ‘Beelicious Pink‘ features a dense habit with large pink flowers that rebloom all summer to fall. As the name suggests, this bee-friendly perennial is a great addition to any pollinator-friendly garden It grows to 30-inches tall and is hardy to Zones 6 to 10.
Nepeta ‘Chartreuse on the Loose’ combines two consumer favorite colors in one plant with its vibrant chartreuse foliage and purple flowers, creating a stunning contrast. This colorful catmint prefers full sun to part shade and is hardy to Zones 3 to 9.
Veronica ‘Vernique Raspberry’ is first-year flowering without needing vernalization, and day-length neutral. Brought to us by Green Fuse Botanicals, it sports bright, raspberry pink flower spikes on uniform, compact plants. Grows to 18 inches and is hardy to Zones 4 to 8.
The Phlox subulata Spring series brings new, clean genetics to this perennial favorite with improved disease resistance, resulting in greater grower success. Bred for excellent garden performance and flower power, this series brings four colors: Blue (shown, below), Lavender, Pink, and Purple. All four varieties are patented and very low growing with 6-inch mature height, and hardy to Zones 2 to 9.
Colocasia ;Royal Hawaiian Waikiki has fabulous foliage and sturdy colorful stems. Deep green, glossy foliage with white markings and vivid pink veins form tidy clumps that are great for landscapes or large containers. Disease resistant, 36 inches at mature height, and with a hardiness to Zones 7b to 10.
